WhatsApp is working hard to add new features, especially ones that some of its competitors have had for a long time. Today is the time for editing.
WhatsApp now supports editing sent messages. All you have to do is long press the one you want to edit, then select Edit from the menu. It only works in the first 15 minutes after sending a message, keep that in mind.
After editing a sent message, it will display “Edited” next to itself when other people see it, so you can’t do stealthy cheating. However, the history of changes will not be shown.
Of course all of these will still be end-to-end encrypted. This new feature is already available to WhatsApp users globally and the rollout is expected to be completed “in the coming weeks”.
