Xiaomi recently hinted that the presentation of the Redmi Note 12 series of phones is expected to take place this month. We’re still pretty clear on the details, but the consensus among industry sources appears to be that the launch will initially include three devices: Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro +. Moving on from the past experience with the Redmi Note lines, we only expect the list to get longer and longer over time.
But for now, before the announcement event, let’s focus on some leaked clues like this product banner that appears to show a Redmi Note 12 phone, probably the Redmi Note 12 Pro + with a curved display. Of course, this also implies that the panel in question will be OLED.

As we said, we’re still clear on other details regarding the Redmi Note 12 phones, but the only leaks include the mention of a Dimensity 1080 chipset for the two Pro models. The 1080 is an improvement over the Dimensity 920 in some ways, but many. they are focusing on the chip’s ability to handle a 200MP camera. It’s not unreasonable to expect a 200MP camera from at least one of the Redmi Note 12 phones.
Returning to Xiaomi’s Weibo post teasing the Redmi Note 12 series, we know that the phones will feature “two main technologies”, one of which will be “the first in the world”. We also know that Redmi Note 12 Pro + has been certified to handle 210W charging. Maybe that’s one of the features Xiaomi refers to. But this is just speculation on our part. As things currently stand, there is still some mystery to be excited about ahead of the announcement.
