The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ presented in March debuted today in India. Both smartphones are offered in Aqua Blue, Classic Black and Sea Green colors in 4GB/64GB configuration, but the Redmi A2 has another option – 2GB/32GB. It is priced at INR 6,299 ($75/€70), while the 4GB/64GB model costs INR 7,999 ($95/€90). The 4GB/64GB version of the Redmi A2+ is priced at INR 8,499 ($100/€95).

Redmi A2 and A2+ will go on sale in India starting May 23 through Xiaomi’s official Indian website, Amazon.in, Mi Home and retail partners. Xiaomi also offers a 2-year warranty on both smartphones to ensure that “users don’t have to change their smartphone every year”.

Redmi A2 and A2+ are identical smartphones, with the latter featuring a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. They come with the Helio G36 SoC, run Android 13 (Go Edition) and feature a 6.52″ HD+ LCD.

Redmi A2+

Both smartphones feature 5,000mAh batteries that draw power via microUSB at up to 10W. The A2 and A2+ have 8MP main cameras on the back, joined by depth units, and have 5MP selfie shooters on the front.
