According to the reputable Weibo whistleblower, Digital chat stationXiaomi is preparing a foldable clamshell smartphone to rival the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. This is probably not a big surprise, as Oppo, Huawei and vivo have all introduced their own versions of a modern flip phone.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2
Xiaomi wants to stay competitive and has already introduced the Mix Fold 2, which is a rather elegant, good-looking and slim foldable smartphone, so it makes sense to offer a clamshell phone. According to Digital Chat Station, the handset will be impressively thin and light, following in the footsteps of the current Mix Fold 2, which is one of the thinnest foldables out there.
Unfortunately, judging by Xiaomi’s previous track record of device availability, the upcoming Mix Flip (if that’s really the name) may not make it outside of China.
