In case you love WhatsApp groups but feel the main problem with them is that they can’t get big enough – good news! The service is currently working on adding support for up to 1,024 attendees for each group. If that doesn’t sound like hell to you, you’ll be happy to know that you should expect this feature to be rolled out soon for everyone.
It is currently in beta testing, with some beta testers seeing it, most not. Previously, WhatsApp added support for 512-member groups in June, and now this has been further increased to double that.
If you have the latest beta for Android or iOS, you should eventually get this feature. If you are not part of the WhatsApp beta test, rest assured that this will eventually reach all users, although, being WhatsApp, it could take months. At least we’re on the right track, anyway.
