The living T2 is back from the dead, at least one version of it. A phone with a model number V2240 has surfaced in the Geekbench 5 database and there is reason to believe that this is the T2 that will launch in India on April 11 (Tuesday).

Again, this vivo T2 is different from the one that was due to launch in China before experiencing several delays. This will have lower power using a chipset code called “Holi” – Qualcomm appears to be using it for both the Snapdragon 695 and Snapdragon 480.

Neither chip is particularly powerful, but the 695 uses newer A78 cores instead of A76. Judging by the single-core score, this is the Snapdragon 695 – phones with this chip usually score 600-700 points on Geekbench 5, the big old CPU in the 480 is usually in the 500-600 range. Again, neither chip is a speed demon. Either way, this particular unit came with 6GB of RAM, although there may be other configurations.

So far Flipkart has revealed that both the vivo T2 and T2x will have FHD+ AMOLED displays with 1,300 nits peak brightness and 360Hz touch sampling rate and a high refresh rate (presumably 120Hz but an exact number is not listed) . More details will be revealed on April 7, 9 and 11 until the full reveal.
