The Honor X9a was announced in January this year and it seems that Honor is ready to announce the successor called X9b. The phone appeared on Honor’s Malaysian website, showing off its back design.
The design doesn’t look all that different from the X9a. It retains the circular camera island, although the ring seems thicker and sticks out a bit more. The most noticeable change, however, is the back panel. It seems that the new X9b will be offered with vegan leather in at least one of its variants.
The company also posted a teaser image on its official X account, showing part of the front panel. It will again be curved with a centered hole for the selfie camera.
The current Honor X9a is called Honor Magic5 Lite in some countries, but it is unclear whether the X9b will also be sold under a different name. We won’t have to wait long for answers, judging by Honor’s “coming soon” tag.
