Images of the upcoming Poco F4 5G have emerged: like the Poco F4 GT, this phone is related to Redmi’s K series. The two-stage camera bump with three lenses arranged in a triangle shows a striking resemblance to the Redmi K50, K50 Pro and K40S.

Unconfirmed information suggests that the Poco F4 5G is based on the latter, the Poco K40S. It is not identical as the label on the back clearly states “64 MP OIS” while the K40S has a 48 MP camera (with OIS).

Camera changes aside, the new Poco F phone is expected to have a 6.67 “AMOLED display (FHD +, 120Hz), 6 / 128GB memory configuration, a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging (0-100% in 38 minutes), stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and probably an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera on the back, plus a 20MP cam on the front.

There should be a Snapdragon 870 inside: a proven chipset, but a couple of generations behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 used by the Poco F4 GT (which itself is based on the Redmi K50 Gaming).

The GT model was launched globally between late April and early May starting at an upfront price of € 500 (for an 8/128 GB model). When the K40S launched in China in mid-March, its base price was CNY 1,800 for a 6 / 128GB model, which converts to $ 270 / € 250 / ₹ 21,000. That is to say, we expect the Poco F4 5G to cost somewhere in between. For reference, the Poco F3 (which used the same chipset, by the way) launched at € 350 and has now dropped to € 260.
