A week ago, the Twitter account of Nothing, Carl Pei’s new company, summarized the details it officially confirmed for its first phone. He concluded by saying that the announcement “will come (very) soon”. A few hours ago he continued with a simple tweet: “This week”.

The Nothing Phone (1) could be announced this week

It is still unclear which day – not today (today is quite busy anyway), but we should get confirmation soon enough. The company has already revealed its launch partners for Nothing Phone (1): O2 in the UK, Deutsche Telekom in Germany and Flipkart in India.

Note that even though the phone is unveiled this week, leaked information suggests sales will begin next month, July 21, specifically. The price is said to be around € 500 ($ 535 / ₹ 41,000).

Officially, the Phone (1) will have a recycled aluminum frame, no chin on the front, a clear back, wireless charging, and an unnamed Snapdragon chipset.

Unofficially, @TechDroider affirmations that the phone will have a 6.55-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and that it will be a flat screen. It should have a high refresh rate, but the exact number isn’t entirely clear. Note that a previous leak claimed a 6.43-inch diagonal, so unofficial information may be inaccurate to say the least.
