Google released the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in October 2023 and is now looking ahead to the Pixel 9 lineup.

According to early CAD-based renders, the Pixel 9 Pro is expected to have a smaller screen, flat panels and sides, and a camera bump that no longer extends from one end to the other.

Leaksters have revealed that the screen will be a 6.5” panel, compared to the predecessor’s 6.7” OLED. However, the entire body will be basically the same size, meaning the bezels will be slightly thicker.

Google has relied on a large camera island over the last three generations of Pixel flagships. The shooters are once again depicted horizontally but within an oval island. Even though the device will be 8.5mm thick at the base, the protrusion will increase by almost 50%, which means the camera setup will be 12mm.

Google used an aluminum chassis, but we can expect the company to follow the titanium alloy trend that Apple set with the iPhone 15 Pro series and Samsung adopted in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
