Valve launched the Steam Deck portable gaming PC in 2021, and now it’s finally time to update it. The new Steam Deck OLED is here and the name reveals its major update. No more LCD screens, this time you get an OLED, with HDR support no less and the ability to reach 1,000 nits of brightness while obviously displaying the deep blacks that OLEDs are known for.

The Steam Deck OLED will be available on November 16th at 10am ET. You can get one with 512GB of storage for $549/€569, or with 1TB for $649/€679. The 256GB LCD model also received a price cut to $399/€419 and will remain in selling as an entry-level option, while the 64GB and 512GB LCD versions will be phased out.

However, they are not sold out yet, so if you want one, you need to hurry. The 64GB model costs $349/€369 while the 512GB drive can be yours for $449/€469.

Steam Deck OLED is here with HDR and better battery life

The new Steam Deck OLED has a resolution of 1280×800 on its 7.4″ diagonal (slightly larger than the 7″) of the LCD, 90 Hz refresh rate, 6 nm APU, 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. and a 50Wh battery that should last 3-12 hours of gameplay, which Steam says is 30-50% longer than LCD models. The OLED Steam Deck weighs 30g less than the LCD version. You also get a 45W power supply with a 2.5m cable and a carrying case in the bundle.
