Last week Samsung announced its new collaboration with Maison Margiela, the Paris-based luxury fashion house. As expected, they are working on a special edition of the Galaxy Z Flip4 and have just released the first teaser image of the phone.
Note that this is clearly not the actual design – they won’t cover the cameras – but it’s a preview of what’s to come. It appears the fashion house is opting for a cloth texture and has included the brand’s branding number designations.
These numbers are product categories, for example 3 is for fragrances, 8 is for glasses and 11 is for accessories. Speaking of which, these fashion editions don’t come alone, Samsung and Margiela are likely to unveil a watch and headphones as well so shoppers can complete an entire look.
A few days ago Samsung’s Instagram account shared this image, citing the “iconic four dots” and “emblematic number coding ring” that are part of the brand’s design language.
Samsung has not set a reveal date for the Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition, the official page only says “coming soon”.
