The US models of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 have appeared in a couple of Geekbench listings and finally we have confirmation that both will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for Galaxy. This is the same SoC found in the Galaxy S23 series and offers slightly overclocked CPU and GPU cores compared to the regular SD 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 (SM-F946U) scored 2,030 points in the single-core test and 5,213 points in the multi-core department. These scores are slightly higher than the Galaxy S23 series phones which hover around 1,500 and 4,900 points respectively. The Z Flip5 in the test comes with 12GB of RAM and runs Android 13.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 (SM-F731U) shares the same chipset as its bigger foldable sibling and managed 2,030 single-core points and a multi-core score of 5,213. The clamshell foldable comes with 8GB RAM and also boots Android 13 as per the list. Samsung’s next crop of foldables is expected to debut in August.
