The Samsung Galaxy S24 introduced last week has arrived at our office for review. We get the Amber Yellow color, but regardless of which color you choose, the retail package remains the same: it includes a charging cable, a SIM ejector tool, and some paperwork, and that’s about it. If you want a protective case or a power supply, you’ll have to shell out more money.

The US, Canadian and Chinese models of the Samsung Galaxy S24 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, while the European version we have here has the Exynos 2400 SoC at the helm. The smartphone runs One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 features a 6.2″ FullHD+ AMOLED LTPO screen at 120 Hz. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has a centered punch-hole for the 12 MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy S24 packs similar hardware to last year’s Galaxy S23, but has a slightly larger battery and a screen with higher peak brightness. It’s also an LTPO panel, and Samsung has promised seven years of Android version updates and security updates for the S24 range. Is it enough to consider the Galaxy S24? We’ll respond with our in-depth review, so stay tuned!
