Sales of Samsung’s Galaxy S23 family have dropped significantly this month, according to a new report from a leakster on Twitter. Sales for the full second quarter (April to June) of the Korean company’s flagship slab-style lineup are said to be down 20% compared to what the Galaxy S22 series managed last year. This appears to be due to lower than expected demand from “general consumers”. All early adopters bought their devices brand new by March, after which apparently not many others wanted to get into the latest and greatest from Samsung.

This is obviously less than ideal and presumably led Samsung to push the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE forward. This model is now said to hit the market ahead of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5, which are expected to be unveiled in July and early August.

If this rumor gets out, we could see the Galaxy S23 FE around in July, or maybe even sooner. The mythical phone has been making the rounds for months, and is now said to be a “budget” version of the Galaxy S23, with only a few changed specs, so it needs a shorter development period than normal.

As usual, we advise you to take all of this with a dose of salt, as this is simply an unconfirmed rumor at this point. By the way, the Galaxy S23 FE is rumored so far to have Samsung’s Exynos 2200 SoC in all regions, a 50MP main camera, a 4,500mAh battery, 6/8GB RAM, and 128/256 storage options. GB. Earlier this month, the new leaflets were said to be arriving “months later,” so now it appears things have changed dramatically on that front.
