Rumor: Oppo Find N2 and Find N2 Flip will be unveiled in mid-December

Last year Oppo’s annual Anthem Day event was scheduled for December 14 – Day 1 brought the MariSilicon X and out there things like a retractable camera, Day 2 is when the Oppo Find N arrived. talks of a sequel and you wouldn’t be surprised to hear that it should be unveiled at Anthem Day 2022.

Loser Digital chat station says the Oppo Find N2 and the new Oppo Find N2 Flip will likely be unveiled at the annual tech event. Oppo hasn’t set an official date yet, but it’s usually in mid-December.

The company has already sent out invites for the launch of the Oppo Reno9 series on November 24 (Thursday), but that event will focus solely on the mid-range. Based on the rumors, we’re expecting to see Snapdragon 778G, Dimensity 8100, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered models. Additionally, the company has officially teased a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered phone — the Oppo Find X6 Pro — which will likely the end of the year will also come sooner.

So, what about the Oppo Find N2? The leaked screenshots suggest the new foldable will fall in the middle with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset (12GB RAM, 256GB storage), plus a MariSilicon X chip for image processing.

When unfolded, the internal display will measure 7.1-inch, a 120Hz LTPO AMOLED panel. The phone will feature a 4,520mAh battery and aims to be the lightest landscape foldable ever. As for the cameras, the rumors they claim that a 50 + 48 + 32 MP configuration will be shared with the OnePlus 11.

The vertical foldable, the Oppo Find N2 Flip, will have an internal 6.8″ display and an external 3.26″ one, according to DCS extension, both OLEDs. Its 50MP main camera will use the older IMX766 sensor (the larger model will have the IMX890 instead) and an 8MP ultra wide. This should be powered by a 4,300mAh battery, the chipset could be the Dimension 9000.

Oppo probably wants to finish the Reno9 announcement before announcing Anthem Day 2022. It could be “one more thing” at the end of the event, so check back on Thursday. It will be challenging months for Oppo.
