The Redmi Note series has been a big hit in India, hitting 72 million in sales last year. The latest generation went on sale in the country on January 11 and has already made its mark on the market: Xiaomi sold phones worth a record ₹ 3 billion in less than a week.
Redmi Note 12 series phones worth ₹3 billion were sold in India in less than a week
The Redmi Note 12 series was highly anticipated, the CMO of Xiaomi India, revealed that even before the series went on sale, online retailers had amassed over 8 million searches for Redmi Note 12 models.
However, Xiaomi has only disclosed total sales in monetary terms rather than units sold. We’d be especially interested to see a breakdown of each model’s popularity: Was the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, or Note 12 Pro+ at the top?
Redmi Note 12 • Redmi Note 12 Pro • Redmi Note 12 Pro+
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is the Halo phone with its 200MP primary camera and is the first Redmi Note phone sold in India to have OIS. The Redmi Note 12 series is off to a good start, but has big shoes to fill. In the first three months of availability, the Redmi Note 10 series sold phones worth ₹30 billion, for a total of 2 million units.
