Realme has released another teaser for its upcoming GT5 Pro flagship phone, and it once again focuses on its photography prowess and the telephoto lens in particular. The teaser images reveal more about the “most expensive telephoto lens in the industry.”

The shooter will use Sony’s 50MP IMX80 sensor paired with a 3x optical zoom with f/2.6 aperture. Interestingly, 3x periscope telephoto lenses are rare, but the large sensor requires the folded optics to fit within a reasonable thickness.

The setup promises various hardware and software optimizations that enable 6x lossless zoom, as claimed by Realme. Additionally, the camera supports super zoom up to 120x.

With a new computing framework and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 crunching the numbers, Realme achieved 10% better power consumption and up to 44% faster frame processing.

This all sounds pretty impressive on paper, but we’ll have to wait until December to find out how the phone performs in real life.
