The Realme GT2 Explorer Master is expected on July 12 with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The company today revealed more of its specs which lead us to believe it will indeed be a powerful phone: the GT2 Explorer Master will be the first to world with LPDDR5X RAM.

In other Weibo posts, Realme has also confirmed that the GT2 Explorer Master will have a metal frame and a 10-bit display with HDR10 + and refresh rates up to 120Hz.

LPDDR5X RAM offers faster speeds, up to 8.5Gbps, compared to LPDDR5’s 6.4Gbps. The new standard also consumes 20% less energy, making it a win-win for everyone. Currently, Samsung was the first company to start making such chips, based on the 14nm process, and now US-based Micron is in the mix as well.

The Realme GT2 Explorer Master’s screen will have over 16,000 automatic brightness levels for a proper “eye protection experience”, according to official posts. The front panel will have an ultra-thin bezel at the bottom of just 2.37mm.

The official launch is next week and we expect Realme to have even more features in the days leading up to the event.
