We have the new Poco C65 on test, so let’s do an unboxing. The phone comes in a modest package with just a USB cable and a 10W charger. There’s no bundled case, and if you want to maximize the C65’s charging potential, you’ll need to get an 18W charger.

There’s a good reason for the retail cuts. The Poco C65 costs just $129 and $149 for the 6/128GB and 8/256GB models (early bird prices are $109/$129). And at those modest prices, you get a lot of phone both metaphorically and literally: the Poco C65 looks big.

It’s wide and tall and weighs almost 200 grams, but it justifies it with a large display and a 5,000 mAh battery.

The 6.74-inch IPS LCD display has a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz. The panel is bright enough, but the 720x1600px resolution is kept to a minimum on such a large panel.

Then there’s the 12nm Helio G85 chipset, a similar 12nm offering to the Helio G88 inside the Poco C55. This isn’t the fastest nor most efficient chip around, and we’ll pay particular attention to the C65’s battery life and performance in our full review. Stay here for that!
