Oppo launched the Find X6 Pro earlier this year, and the phone remains officially sold by the company in China only. However, the device can easily be purchased through third-party resellers, and the people who have done so have reason to celebrate.

Find X6 Pro units have started receiving a software update that brings major improvements to the camera as well as some communication fixes and the latest system security package.

After installation, Find X6 Pro units will take better telephoto photos, while portrait images will have improved skin tone. When using Portrait mode, you’ll also get a 2x zoom switch for the rear camera, and the same switch will apply to video, time-lapse, and text scanner modes.

When we reviewed the Oppo flagship, we determined that its low-light photos were among the best for a smartphone in 2023. The update promises to improve quality even further.

The update will also reduce the camera’s power consumption and increase the quality of videos shot at a high zoom ratio.

The user experience has improved in Multi-Screen Connect, Screencast and some third-party apps, and Oppo has also added Hasselblad’s iconic orange shutter button in the Camera app. Connectivity stability has improved and the compatibility of NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and mobile networks has been expanded.
