The smartphone market in the US is pretty thin compared to the breadth of options buyers have in Europe and especially Asia. OnePlus is one of the few brands trying to challenge the Samsung/Apple duopoly.
The OnePlus 11 is pretty cheap for a phone with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO panel (120Hz, 10-bit). It has a trio of Hasselblad-tuned and featured cameras, including a 50 MP (1/1.56″, OIS) main camera, a 48 MP (115°) ultra-wide angle camera, and a 32 MP (48 mm/2x).It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and even though its clock speeds are slightly lower than the chip inside the Galaxy S23 series, this is still one of the fastest Androids. It’s also quick to load, the 5,000mAh battery only supports 100W wired charging (80W in the US).
Amazon UK has decided to pair the phone with the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and it’s only the 16/256GB phone. The 8/128GB model (without buds) is also available, but does not qualify for the Prime Day discounts.
There are reasons to choose the older OnePlus 10 Pro over its 2023 sibling. You still get a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO display, and while it’s not Gen 2, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is still very fast. The 10 Pro has adequate telephoto, a 77mm/3.3x periscope with an 8MP sensor, plus the ultra-wide angle earns its name with a 150° field of view (compared to just 115° on the OnePlus 11) . The main camera uses an older sensor, however (IMX789 vs. IMX890). Additionally, this one offers both fast wired charging (80W globally, 65W in 110V countries) and 50W wireless charging (the 11 is wired only).
In the UK the OnePlus 10 Pro is paired with the older OnePlus Buds Pro. The Pro 2s have better noise cancellation, longer battery life and lower latency, but are by no means the best TWS buds, so you don’t miss out a lot.
We will conclude with some honorable mentions from the Nord series. The OnePlus Nord 2T combines a Dimensity 1300 with a 6.43″ AMOLED display at 90 Hz and a 50+8+2 MP camera (the familiar IMX766 with OIS takes the lead role). Also noteworthy is the 4,500 mAh with 80W of charging and 100 hours of endurance reached.
The OnePlus Nord N200 is a budget 5G option for the US. It has a Snapdragon 480 chipset and a 5.49-inch 90Hz IPS LCD – best of all, it has FHD+ resolution (unlike the N300). However, the 13MP camera and 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging are pretty basic.
