OnePlus 10T is not officially the successor to OnePlus 10 Pro, but it is is a newer phone. So maybe it has been redesigned to withstand the bending tests, unlike the 10 Pro which practically broke in half when it was bent with some force a few months ago?

This is what YouTuber Zack gives JerryRig Everything channel set to find out in its now “traditional” “life test” of scratches, burns and bending. See for yourself how OnePlus’ latest creation went by watching the video below.

The OnePlus 10T gets off to a great start as, like virtually all other smartphones, it has glass on the screen, which scratches at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, showing deeper grooves at level 7. So far so good. The screen lasts about 20 seconds under a lighter before the pixels turn white and thus never fully recover. This is pretty much the norm for an AMOLED.

Now let’s move on to the main event. Bending from the front doesn’t cause any problems, but bending from the back breaks the phone again, and in exactly the same spot as the 10 Pro, right under the camera island. Clearly these two phones also have internal and structural similarities, beyond their similar looks. And unfortunately it looks like OnePlus didn’t have time to fix the design. Maybe next year.
