The Red Magic 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and runs RedMagic OS 5.0 based on Android 12 out of the box. It also comes with a dedicated gaming chip called Red Core 1 to handle audio, RGB lighting, and haptic feedback, allowing Qualcomm silicon to focus on more important tasks.

The gaming smartphone is built around a 6.8 “AMOLED FullHD + with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sample rate of 960 Hz. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and has a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication. It also has a 16MP selfie camera under the display, providing an unobstructed viewing experience not possible with displays with notches and holes.

The 64MP main camera sits in the center of the rear panel, flanked by 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro units. Powering the entire package is a 5,000mAh battery charged via a USB-C port. However, it is worth mentioning that unlike the Chinese version which supports 135W charging, the global model only goes up to 65W.
