Phone (2) may look identical to phone (1) but the new device features a rounded back that makes it more comfortable to hold. The Glyph interface has also received an update and now features 11 segmented LED strips with 33 total LED lighting zones. It offers new use cases for notifications such as volume control and timer indicators.

You can assign specific apps to the top left LED for Essential Glyph notifications which will stay on until you clear the notification from the notifications menu. Nothing is also opening up the Glyph Interface SDK and API to developers, so we’ll likely see even smarter use cases down the road.

Nothing went wrong with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The hole cutout is now centered and features a 32MP front facing camera with Sony IMX615 sensor and support for 1080p 60fps video recording.

The main camera on the back is now equipped with a Sony IMX890 sensor (50 MP) with OIS and EIS image stabilization and updated HDR and Motion Capture modes. The 50MP ultrawide camera uses the same Samsung JN1 sensor as its predecessor, but also gets advanced HDR capabilities.
