The Motorola Moto X40, likely known as the Edge 40 Pro in Western markets, is still awaiting its release. We have received numerous reports and leaks and know for a fact that it is running the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset from Qualcomm. Now Lenovo’s general manager of mobile business has shared his AnTuTu score.

The result of 1,312,901 is about 30% higher than what we get on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered smartphones. Even the Plus variant of the SoC can barely break the 1 million point barrier. In fact, some phones post less than that. This appears to line up with Qualcomm’s claims of about a 35% performance increase over the last generation.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 employs next generation ARM CPU cores: 1x Cortex-X3, 4x Cortex-A715 and 3x Cortex-A510 along with a new Adreno GPU that promises an improvement of around 25%.
