Say hello to the Moto G72, a capable mid-range phone with content consumption in mind. It comes with a USB cable, a protective case and a 33W charger, although in some markets you’ll get the headphones as well.

Those would end up on the good old 3.5mm connector, as the Moto G72 has a built-in audio jack. And it’s useful too, supporting Dolby Atmos. The stereo speakers on board the Moto G72 are also Dolby Atmos-ready.

Continuing the thread of content consumption, the Moto G72 also has a great display: a 6.55-inch OLED with 1080p resolution and HDR10+ support. It’s also smooth as butter at 120Hz.

Moving further down the spec sheet, the Moto G72 has a large 5,000mAh battery that should last you quite a while, although we’ll have to check that out in our review.

Finally, the Moto G72 packs a 108MP main camera that pixel-bins 9 to 1 for the resulting 12MP shots. Next to it are an ultrawide and a macro. A MediaTek Helio G99 handles image processing and the rest of the computing tasks.

These are impressive specs for a £280 phone, but real-life performance is pretty good. Stay tuned for our full review, coming just after New Years!
