Manu Kumar Jain has stepped down from his position as global vice president of Xiaomi, although his name has recently been linked to the violation of Indian foreign exchange laws. India’s Enforcement Directorate is looking into the relationship between the Chinese company and its Indian division and royalty payments are flowing both ways, and the now former executive has been operating out of Dubai for the past few years.

During Jain’s time at Xiaomi India, the company became the leading smartphone brand “without spending money on advertising,” the executive added.
