Ah, folding. The dream of the folding screen smartphone has been around for more years than one can count, and for a long time it seemed to be the nuclear fusion of the mobile world – constantly “around the corner”, never materializing. That all changed a few years ago and Samsung is already on the third generation of its foldable devices. The story goes that there have been many improvements and therefore – maybe the folding revolution is finally upon us?
We decided to find out by subjecting the Oppo Find N to the long-term review process. We played with it for a few months and used it as our one and only smartphone during that time. Inevitably with regular reviews, there are time constraints left and right, but there weren’t any here. So we had plenty of time to get to know Find N and live with its quirks and features. And now we feel like we’ve gotten to a point where we can share our experience of using this intriguing foldable device day in and day out, with all the good parts and the not-so-good parts that this entailed.
This appears to be one of the best foldables yet, if not the best, with its zero gap folding and above all the dimensions. It’s a breath of fresh air that fits neatly into the size of Samsung’s Fold and Flip lines, which should mean it’s easier to use than the Folds and has a lot more screen real estate than the Flip. So, the best of both worlds then?

Our review unit is meant for the Chinese market. As such, there are a lot of differences in hardware (particularly in 5G and 4G support) and software compared to what you would get in a theoretical global model. We don’t think most people should face the problem of importing one of these, but we were excited enough that we couldn’t ignore it either.
