Xiaomi’s Poco F series holds a legendary place among Android flagship killers, and the Poco F5 is the latest addition to the range and in our office. We’ll take a quick look at the newly launched phone before our in-depth review. We’re also covering the Poco F5 Pro in a similar article for review, and you can check out both phones in our latest video.

Our review unit wears the icy white color which has hints of blue scattered across the back. The 64MP main and 8MP ultrawide cams are structured in glossy plastic ring cutouts that are a nice touch. The phone features flat sides and a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with smooth bezels and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Little F5 in test

The box contents include a 67W charging adapter, a USB-C cable, and a clear plastic case. Scrolling down the spec sheet, Poco F5 brings the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone also boasts a headphone jack, dual speakers, an IR blaster, and splash-proof IP53 protection. The software front is covered by MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

That covers it for this quick look at the Poco F5. Our review team is already putting the Poco F5 through its paces for our full review, which will be ready shortly.
