Following last year’s Leica Leitz Phone 1 is the aptly named sequel: the Leitz Phone 2. The new device shares its key hardware with the Sharp Aquos R7 but offers a more robust design with textured metal sides, Leitz brand. and a metal cap for the rear camera.

There’s a 6.6-inch IGZO OLED screen with a resolution of 2730 x 1260px, a refresh rate of 240Hz on the front, and a 16MP selfie camera housed in a perforated hole. The back has the same 47MP main camera with a 1 ”sensor. The sensor co-developed by Sharp and Leica offers a seven-element Leica Summicron lens, an aperture of F / 1.9 and a focal length of 19mm. You also get a 1.9MP portrait sensor. The rest of the specs includes a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Leica Leitz Phone 2 is available in a single Leica white color and goes on sale in Japan from November 18, 2022. The price is set at JPY 225,360, or approximately $ 1,540.
