The vivo X100 Pro+ will have three impressive cameras, a leakster on Weibo suggested today. The next flagship, expected in the coming months, is said to have a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, the same one used in the X90 Pro+. However, we’re likely to see a variable aperture here, probably what Huawei it did with the P60 Pro and its f/1.4-f/4.0 main cam.

Another improvement would be a so-called 200MP telephoto lens, which will be a huge increase for such a camera in the smartphone world. While it looks impressive on paper, we believe it will be a 50MP sensor with pixel binning.

The portrait camera is also said to be a 50MP camera, with a Sony IMX758 sensor behind the lens. This is the same in the vivo X90 Pro+ and X90 Pro which have 2x optical zoom, AF and OIS for this particular cam.

The phone would have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which means we won’t see it until Qualcomm officially releases the chipset. Vivo will also equip the X100 Pro+ with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The leakster also claimed IP68 water and dust resistance, as well as an under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

All of these aforementioned features have been the industry standard for flagships for the past year, so we won’t be surprised to see them in the X100 Pro+. The company would surprise us if it actually launched the Qualcomm-powered phone, something it hasn’t done since mid-2022, when the vivo X80 Pro went international.
