The vivo X Fold+ has one of the most impressive camera setups on a landscape fold and now the company is working on a flip model. What will his cameras look like? Loser Digital chat station found out the details about the new phone and the latest report covers all the key components.

The so-called vivo X Flip will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (same as the X Fold+) and will be configured with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. As the illustrations have shown, the phone will have a large coverage display and a dual camera island on top of it.

These cameras will feature a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary and a 12MP IMX663 ultra-wide, according to DCS extension. There will be an additional camera inside, a centered hole (resolution unknown). The rear cameras will carry Zeiss branding, just like the other vivo flagships.

Based on previous reports, the internal display will have an FHD+ resolution, the leakster adds that it will measure 6.8″ diagonal and have a refresh rate of 120Hz. Based on the illustration, the aspect ratio will be slimmer than the Moto Razr 2022 , although perhaps not as much as the Galaxy Z Flip 4. It could match the Oppo Find N2 Flip’s 6.8-inch 1,080 2,520px (21:9) display.

The X Flip is said to have a fairly large 4,400mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It’s bigger and faster than most of the Flips out there with only the Find N2 Flip coming close (close enough , 4,300mAh and 44W). One last detail from DCS extensionthe phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint reader (probably built into the power button).

The vivo X Flip is expected to be unveiled in China next month, teasers should start rolling out as early as next week. Hopefully, the announcement includes plans for a global rollout as foldable folding competition is pretty slim right now. Also expected is a vivo X Fold 2 (with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2).
