Apple’s mixed reality headset is finally arriving this year, but don’t hold your breath just yet. Prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reiterated his estimate that Apple’s AR/MR will come in late Q2 2023 or possibly Q3 2023.
Kuo’s latest research points to problems with drop testing mechanical components and a lack of software development tools.
Kuo says Apple is unlikely to unveil the AR/MR headphones in January and will most likely push the announcement in the spring or perhaps even at the WWDC conference in June, depending on the progress of development.
