Apple’s new iOS 16.3 software update will bring key fixes once it arrives next week. It will remove the horizontal lines that temporarily appear on the screen and fix the lock screen and its widget. It will also have support for the new second generation HomePod and physical security keys.

Apple is making several fixes with iOS 16.3, which launches next week

Apple has identified horizontal lines on some iPhone 14 Pro Max that appeared when waking or restarting the phone and is releasing a fix.

The iOS 16.3 beta revealed that the new update will also fix the bug where the lock screen background would sometimes appear black. The Home Lock Screen Widget that was pulled after 16.2 is making a comeback and will now show the accurate status.

Siri didn’t respond properly to music requests and the new update should fix this problem in both smartphones and CarPlay.

The expected arrival of the new iOS is on Tuesday or Wednesday, when Apple will also push macOS Ventura 13.2 to MacBooks.
