Huawei introduced the entry-level Enjoy 70 in December and is now launching the phone in overseas markets under a new name: Huawei nova Y72.
The device appeared on the company’s website in South Africa with the same design, marketing images and even the dedicated X button for quick access to the app.
The nova Y72 comes with a 6,000mAh battery and a 50MP primary camera on the back along with a 2MP auxiliary camera. Detailed specs have yet to be released, but we’re looking at a Kirin 710A chipset and a 6.75-inch LCD with 720p resolution.
The large battery supports 22.5W wired charging via a USB-C port. The phone runs HarmonyOS 4 in China, but the global version will likely switch to EMUI.
The phone is pictured in green and black with a starting price of ZAR 4,999, which is around $265. We don’t even know the memory combination at the moment, but that should be confirmed in the next few days.
