Honor held a keynote in Berlin as part of IFA 2023. The smartphone manufacturer presented the V Purse concept, which is an outward-folding smartphone that can be worn like a clutch.
But George Zhao, CEO of Honor, dedicated a large part of the event to presenting the foldable Magic V2 to the global audience. And while we’ve gotten another overview of the phone’s main features, the most interesting details have been left out. We haven’t learned how much the Magic V2 will cost outside of China, nor have we received an availability period.
The Honor Magic V2 arrived with the thinnest profile of any foldable and a lighter body than some flagship phones from the bar. We went to China for the unveiling and were impressed by how the phone feels in the hand, despite it being a foldable device with a huge internal screen and a 5,000 mAh battery.
The Magic V2 is currently only on sale in China. Honor will likely follow this event with an actual Magic V2 launch where availability details will be discussed, but we have yet to see when that will happen.
