Google launched the Pixel Watch yesterday, and the wearable device comes with Wear OS 3.5. The new UI doesn’t work with Google Smartwatch’s old Wear OS, meaning this device has its own proprietary app.

The app is now only listed on Google Play – it doesn’t pair with iPhones, because the watch requires a phone with Android 8.0 or later, a Google account, and internet access.

We can see from the uploaded screenshots that users will be able to customize the watch face and what information to receive about it, there will be support for notifications and the daily workout and heart rate will be linked to Fitbit. There is also Google Maps support which would make navigating unfamiliar roads much easier and safer.

Unfortunately, the app will only work with Google Pixel Watch users. Anyone else who downloads it will receive a request to purchase one with a link, which takes you to the Google website. The Wi-Fi version costs $ 350 / € 380, while the LTE version costs $ 400 / € 430, although it’s free with a Pixel 7 Pro pre-order.
