We are towards the end of the month and Google has released a third build for its Android 13 Beta 3. This month’s beta build has encountered enough problems to force Google to have to release not one, two, but three builds to fix the critical fixes. to the beta tester.

Android 13 beta 3.3 is solely for the purpose of fixing bugs and does not offer new features. Some of the fixes include a conflict that was occurring between the keyboard and the launcher and another bug where gestures such as swiping “back” would cause the UI to crash and therefore not be a great beta experience.

There was also a fix for an issue with pixels failing to connect to known Wi-Fi networks and another bug causing the device to freeze when plugged into power which was only fixed with a reboot. Improvements were also made to “Connectivity Thermal Power Management” which caused unstable performance and poor battery life.

The reason for so many patches released this month is that the June 3 Beta is listed as a “Platform Stability” milestone on the Android timeline and this wasn’t achieved right away. This is the build that app developers should start finalizing compatibility testing for apps, SDKs, and libraries.

Beta 4 is expected to arrive in July with public builds expected to arrive soon after, but without a real-time frame. We normally expect to see Android updates arrive on Google Pixel devices just before new ones are released, which normally happens in October.

The Beta 3.3 update is expected to be rolled out on compatible Pixel devices. Make sure you install the update if you are running the beta so that you can fix these bugs.
