Garmin announced that its ECG app is now compatible with the Epix Pro series, Fenix ​​7 Pro series, Venu 3 series, and Tactix 7 smartwatches in the US. Users will be able to capture electrocardiogram readings from their watches supported with heart rhythm data records and check for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib) and sinus rhythm. ECG readings will be available directly on supported Garmin watches and the Garmin Connect smartphone app and can be exported as PDF files.

Garmin expands ECG app to four more watches in the US

Users will need to update the Garmin Connect app to the latest version before setting up the ECG feature from the Settings menu on the phone app. Garmin says its watches’ ECG readings are comparable in accuracy to single-lead EKG devices. Garmin’s ECG app is currently available in the United States, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
