The latest figure represents a slight increase compared to 2022 values, when iOS represented 37% of all smartphone users in the United States, and a considerable decline compared to 2021 (44%) and 2020 (46%).

The data for this survey was sourced from CIRP’s quarterly survey of mobile phone customers in the United States with the latest quarter ending in September. The new data shows a clear sign that Android is still the mobile operating system of choice among US smartphone users, while iOS is in second place. Analysis of CIRP data shows that iOS had the highest share of the smartphone market at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, while subsequent years saw a slight decline in the user base.
