Sony’s WH-1000XM5 headphones and WF-1000XM5 true wireless earbuds are about to face renewed competition from Bose, one of the biggest and oldest names in noise cancellation. Today, the upcoming Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones and QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds were leaked, complete with images and details. Let’s dive right in.
Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones leaked renders
Both products will be available in black and white. The QuietComfort Ultra headphones will have physical buttons for playing music and adjusting the volume, forgoing Sony’s haptic solution. The headphones have a USB-C port, unsurprisingly.

The earphones will succeed the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II on the market, with soft ear tips. The design will be similar to that of the previous predecessor.
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds render leaked
According to a recent report, the QuietComfort Ultra headphones will be priced at €499.95 in France, while the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds will go for €349.95 in the same country. Also not shown but forthcoming are the QuietComfort (not Ultra) headphones, which will cost £399.95 in Black, Cloud White and Cypress Green, and presumably omit some features from their more expensive siblings.
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds render leaked
For comparison, note that Sony’s WH-1000XM5s were released last year at an MSRP of €419, while the WF-1000XM5 earphones launched at an MSRP of €319. So Bose’s competitors they’ll be more expensive, hopefully there’s more than just brand cachet to explain it.
