Bose’s latest QuietComfort wireless earbuds are here with the all-new QuietComfort Earbuds II. These come two years after the original version’s launch and offer improvements across the board and a smaller footprint.
Bose QC II earphones
Bose claims its new buds are the best noise canceling on the market, including in-ear and over-ear models. The new QC Earbuds II offer CustomTune sound calibration. Each time you put the headphones on, they play a proprietary tone that measures the acoustic response of your ear canal, which then tailors the audio and noise cancellation for your specific hearing.
Bose also has two silicone tips: one on the inner ear and a second that acts as a fin against the outer ear, helping with an optimal fit and seal. Each earphone has four microphones, three of which are positioned on the outside of the earphones.
Bose QC Earphone II case and in-ear appearance
ActiveSense is the other main feature. It’s Bose’s version of transparency mode that takes advantage of powerful Bose hardware and audio algorithms. The new QC Earbuds II offer Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and are also IPX4 water resistant. However, they are not supplied with multipoint pairing. Battery life is rated at 6 hours on the buds and you get an additional 18 hours from the charging case. Charging takes place via the USB-C port on the case.
Bose QC Earphones II color options
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are available in a single triple black color at launch for $ 299, and you can already pre-order a pair directly from Bose. Open sales start on September 15th. A second Soapstone color variant will be available later this year.
