A report about Apple’s plans for major watchOS 10 improvements surfaced about a month ago, but without further insights. New information, however, reveals more about future Apple Watch software and what to expect at this year’s Apple WWDC.

Apple's WatchOS 10 to bring major UI changes and improvements

Second Bloomberg, Apple will bring back widgets and make them a central feature of watchOS 10. Users will be able to navigate through interactive and contextual widgets. The new interface will likely resemble the Siri clock face and widget stacks introduced in iOS and iPadOS. The report also suggests that the Digital Crown will be used to open widgets instead of sending you to your home screen.

Additionally, the company is said to be working on a new AI-powered health coaching service called Quartz. So we’ll probably see deep integration with Quartz as well.

This will be the biggest release of watchOS since its inception, so watchOS 10 will likely steal the spotlight at this year’s WWDC. Or maybe mixed reality headsets will be the star of the show? We should wait until WWDC 2023.
