As expected, Apple has officially discontinued the iPhone 13 mini and will no longer sell it through its website. The 13 mini follows in the footsteps of the 12 mini from a year ago. Apple had already cut production several times due to lack of interest in the iPhone mini.
What seemed like a great idea at first, a really small and modern iPhone, turned out to be a dead end for Apple. People just didn’t want small screen phones, they wanted a Plus to go with the Pro Max.
Those few hardy minis will be able to find a 13 mini in the third-party retailer space for a while yet, but the days of truly compact premium phones are now numbered.
Now, Apple’s smartphone lineup starts with the iPhone SE (2022) – $429/€529/£429/INR 49,900 – the iPhone 13 – $599/€729/£599/INR 59,900 – the iPhone 14 – $699 /€849/£699/₹69,900 – and iPhone 14 Plus – $799/€949/£799/₹79,900 – and the new iPhone 15 models.
Apple will also continue to sell the Watch SE alongside the new Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2. The Watch SE costs $249 / €279 / £219 / INR 29,900.
