An increasing number of iPhone 14 Pro users are reporting a strange display issue when booting up or unlocking their devices. Green and yellow horizontal lines appear on the screen and seem to disappear later during the boot process, so it doesn’t completely disrupt the user experience, if at all.
Fortunately, Apple has recognized the problem and will soon release a software update that will fix the weird horizontal lines. It’s realistic to expect the issue to be fixed with a small upcoming patch or iOS 16.3, which is currently in testing by Apple and members of the public beta program.
Notably, Apple’s response is unofficial and has been spotted in internal memos by people familiar with the matter. The issue was first reported last month, so Apple is pretty quick with its reaction. Let’s just hope that the next software release fixes the problem.
