If you are a fan of gaming phones but want an even bigger canvas to get your gaming fix, ZTE has its Red Magic tablet to catch your attention. Gaming brand ZTE has unveiled its first tablet alongside the newly announced Red Magic 8S Pro.
The Red Magic tablet offers a 12.1-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 2500 px, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The panel is advertised to churn out up to 600 nit of brightness and features narrow symmetrical bezels that contribute to the device’s thin and light profile.

The Red Magic gaming tablet weighs 613 grams and is 6.5mm at its thinnest point. You also get four speakers with DTS tuning.
The device is equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset along with 12/16GB RAM (LPDDR5X) and 256/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Being a gaming device, the Red Magic tablet offers ICE Magic cooling system which claims to lower the temperature of the device by up to 5°C during intense gaming sessions.
The larger screen on the Red Magic tablet is also useful if you want to prop up the card and pair a keyboard, mouse, or joystick for a more desktop-like experience.
There is a 16MP front camera and a single 13MP rear camera. The battery has a nominal capacity of 10,000mAh and supports 80W fast charging which should complete a full charge in 55 minutes. The software side is covered by Red Magic OS 8.
The Red Magic tablet starts from CNY3,899 ($538) for the 12/256GB put in order. THE 16/512GB the version comes at a price CNY4,599 ($635). Open sales in China begin July 11, while international availability is yet to be detailed. As for the accessories, the Smart Magnetic Keyboard costs CNY 599 ($83) while the stylus pen costs CNY 399 ($55).
