According to an Android expert, Google is preparing a new feature related to connectivity between Android devices linked to a single account. Something similar to Apple’s existing Continuity feature, which allows users to take calls from their iPhone on their Macs and iPads as long as they’re on the same network.

Having all of your Android devices logged into one Google account will enable features like call switching and internet sharing. The former is quite self-explanatory while the latter is an easy way to share your primary device’s network connection with your other Android devices. Just like a mobile hotspot would.

Android will soon make it easier to connect all your Android-based devices

Interestingly, the provided screenshot suggests that the call switching feature will work on different Android phones, while Apple’s solution doesn’t allow you to answer calls from another iPhone. It is limited to iPads, Macs and MacBooks.

While Google hasn’t announced any plans for such a feature, Mishaal Rahman suggests that the “Link your device” feature will appear in the Settings > Google > Devices & Sharing submenu.
