One Prime Day a year isn’t enough, so welcome to round two. Amazon UK reduced the prices of a large variety of products for 48 hours of shopping. Here are some of the best smartphone (and smartwatch) deals we’ve found.

Apple

Apple has stopped selling iPhone 13 Pro models with the arrival of the 14 Pro replacements. And while the 2022 models are a solid upgrade, their pricing might make you think. You can grab an iPhone 13 Pro (256GB) for £ 980 (note that only a few colors are part of the promotion). For comparison, an iPhone 14 Pro (256GB) costs £ 1,210.

The larger iPhone 13 Pro Max, the 1TB model, is also part of the process and can be yours for £ 1,380 (or a little more for some colors). Unfortunately, lower storage capacities aren’t part of the Prime offerings, but this is good for those who need to carry huge amounts of data but can’t or can’t use cloud storage.

Apple has lost faith in the mini form factor, but we know not all of you have it. It’s not the latest version, but the iPhone 12 mini (256GB) is available for £ 610. Unlike the Pros, the iPhone 13 mini is still available, although a 256GB drive costs £ 760. while you’re at it, you can also grab a silicone case (with MagSafe support) for 12 mini for £ 30 or one for 13 Pro Max, also £ 30.

SAMSUNG

There are several 5G-connected Samsungs available inexpensively. The Galaxy A53 5G has dropped to £ 250. Some prefer the Galaxy A52s 5G because it features a Snapdragon 778G (instead of an Exynos 1280), but it costs more – £ 300. The Galaxy M53 has a larger 6-inch display. 7 inches (vs the A53’s 6.5 inches) and a 108MP main camera (vs 64MP), plus a Dimensity 900 chipset, you can buy one for £ 340.

Folders are sadly still quite expensive, but you can try the Galaxy Z Flip3 (128GB) for £ 500, half of what you’d pay for a Z Flip4 (if you need more storage, the Z Flip3 256GB costs £ 550). The larger Galaxy Z Fold3 is also available: £ 1,000 for a 256GB phone, £ 1,100 for a 512GB one.

Galaxy Watch4 vanilla (40mm, Bluetooth), but as it costs £ 150, we’d rather pay the extra £ 10 and have the rotating bezel.

You can accessorize your new phone with the £ 99 package of Galaxy Buds Live and a SmartTag + (the one with UWB).

Google

What do you think of the Pixel 7 series? If that doesn’t sound like a big upgrade, here are some offers for the previous generation. They’re pretty straightforward – grab your phone and receive a pair of Pixel Buds A.

The Pixel 6 (128GB) has dropped to £ 475, while a Pixel 7 can be pre-ordered for £ 600. The Pixel 6 Pro packs a telephoto lens and 120Hz display and costs £ 725 (128GB). Finally, there’s the affordable (but still Tensor-powered and 5G connected) Pixel 6a for £ 350 (128GB).

Sony

The Sony Xperia 1 IV paired with the WH-100XM4 noise canceling over-ear headphones is up for grabs if you have £ 1,150 to spend. If you buy from Sony’s official store, you’d spend £ 1,150 just on the phone and those are some of the best ANC headphones money can buy. You can also grab the old Xperia 1 III for £ 850, but we’re not sure it’s worth it as you don’t have headphones with this model.

If you want something cheaper, the Xperia 10 IV has dropped to £ 350, this midrange has mostly clean Android, a 2x camera, 3.5mm jack and microSD slot, plus a 5,000mAh battery. in a body only 67 mm wide.

The Sony Xperia Pro-I isn’t a phone for the casual consumer, but it can capture some stunning photos with its image sensor borrowed from RX100 cameras. If you need it, you can get it for £ 1,100.

OnePlus

It’s not the latest model, but the OnePlus 9 Pro is still a very capable phone and starts at £ 500 (this is for an 8 / 128GB model). Its sibling, the OnePlus 9, has dropped to £ 370 (8/128 GB), not a bad price for a Snapdragon 888 phone.

It sure sounds better than spending £ 350 on a OnePlus Nord 2. If you want something cheap, the Nord CE 2 is probably a better choice at £ 200.

Xiaomi / Poco

Unfortunately, no flagship stores, but a lot of cheap offers. Xiaomi 11T Pro (with Snapdragon 888, 8 / 256GB) costs £ 380 and competes with OnePlus 9. It has a 108MP main camera (vs 48MP, but similar sensor size), although its ultra width doesn’t it is so impressive. The battery is, however, 5,000mAh / 120W vs 4,500mAh / 65W.

Then there’s the Redmi Note 11 for £ 150. You can choose Redmi 10 2022 for £ 115 instead if you’re okay with a 90Hz LCD instead of a 90Hz AMOLED. These two are pretty similar camera-wise, but the Redmi charges its 5,000 mAh battery faster (33 W vs 18 W).
