Nintendo has announced a brand new limited edition Switch console to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros.
The console is mostly colored in a bright red shade commonly worn by the famous plumber. However, it also comes with blue highlights, like on the Joy-Con grips and case. You can see a variety of console images in the tweet below.
Officially called Mario Red & Blue Edition, the console is a limited edition Switch that will be available at select retailers starting February 12.
Priced at $ 299, this limited edition console is the same price as the regular version. This means it’s likely to sell out pretty quickly and could very well make its way onto retailer sites.
This is not the only special release to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Italian-American hero. Last year Nintendo released Super Mario 3D All-Stars and the battle royale game Super Mario 35. The company also plans to launch Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury on February 12 alongside the new console.
